When To Book a Cheap Hotel in Wroclaw?
We have two essential tips for how to book a cheap hotel in Wroclaw: Where and When.
Tip 1: Where to book
One of the most popular and comprehensive booking websites is booking.com. Known for its user-friendly interface, outstanding customer service, and extensive worldwide hotel listings, it’s the go-to platform for many travellers.
We suggest browsing booking.com to find your preferred hotel and then visiting the hotel’s official website to book directly. You’ll find that many hotels, especially hotel chains, offer discounts for booking directly or provide incentives for signing up for their loyalty programs. By taking advantage of these options and booking directly with the hotel, you can save up to 30% on your reservation.
Tip 2: When to book
To secure a cheap hotel in Wroclaw, plan your stay during the off-peak seasons of January to March, the shoulder seasons of spring (April to May), and autumn (September to October) or weekdays when hotel rates are typically lower.
We recommend booking your hotel well in advance to secure early bird discounts. However, consider exploring last-minute bookings if you have a more flexible schedule and plans. These last-minute hotel booking sites can offer attractive deals:
By strategically timing your reservation, whether in advance or closer to your travel dates, you can enjoy the convenience of a cheap hotel in Wroclaw without compromising comfort or quality.
Should I Tip at Wroclaw Hotels?
Tipping in Wroclaw is not mandatory. While customs vary from country to country, in Poland, tipping at hotels is not obligatory or common among Polish travellers. However, it is undoubtedly appreciated for exceptional service.
If you receive outstanding service from hotel staff, a small gesture of gratitude in the form of a tip is always welcomed. When tipping hotel staff in Wroclaw, a general guideline is to leave a tip of around 10-15% or a rounded-up amount of the bill.
It’s important to note that tipping is discretionary. You can base your decision to tip on your satisfaction with the service received. Unlike in the USA, tipping is not expected to supplement hotel staff wages in Poland. Wages in Poland are generally sufficient, and tips are not considered obligatory. However, if you choose to show appreciation for exceptional service through a tip, it will undoubtedly be appreciated by the hotel staff.
What Power Plug do they use in Poland?
Poland’s standard power plug and socket type is known as “Type C” and “Type E.” These plugs have two round pins and are commonly used throughout Europe.
Any European plug will work in Poland, but any plug from outside Europe, including the UK, will not work in Poland, and you will need an adaptor.
Type C plugs are unearthed and have two pins suitable for low-power devices such as chargers, smartphones, and laptops. Type E plugs, on the other hand, are grounded and have an extra hole in them for an earthing pin They are used for heavier appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners.
Some modern hotels in Poland may also provide power outlets that accommodate other plug types. We suggest purchasing a universal adaptor from Amazon, they are relatively cheap, and some can be changed to work in all countries.

What Amenities are Offered in Wroclaw Hotels?
There are some amenities that all hotels will provide, regardless of whether you are staying at a luxury or budget hotel. These include a reception desk, extra bedding, WiFi access, and tea/coffee facilities in the rooms.
When booking a hotel rated 4 stars or higher, certain amenities can be expected. These may include a flat-screen TV, complimentary toiletries either in the room or available upon request, en-suite bathrooms, complimentary WiFi, hairdryers, irons, mini-bar fridges, room service, and in-room safes.
In addition to the guest rooms, the best hotels in Wroclaw often feature on-site restaurants and bars, offering a variety of cuisines and beverages. Some hotels may have multiple dining options, including fine dining restaurants, casual cafes, or stylish bars.
