Wroclaw stag do review
Before starting the Wroclaw Boat Party, I lived in Krakow, and when my brother was getting married, I had to plan his stag do. We are from Australia, so we knew it would be alcohol-fueled craziness. However, this was in 2020 during a partial lockdown, and we couldn’t leave Poland. We decided on Wroclaw for the stag do, and this turned out to be one of the best decisions ever, as it was one of the best weekends any of us have ever had.
One lad broke his finger, one woke up in a random garage, a few got some drunken tattoos, one lost his phone and wallet, and a priest found it and brought it back to us. Safe to say it was a crazy one. Besides the mayhem, we went to some great clubs and restaurants, did paintballing and spent the night at the Casino.
Having so much fun at this stag do in Wroclaw is one of the reasons we decided to start the Wroclaw boat party, as we knew just how fun the city was.

The many canals of the Odrva river flow through the city, and you can find many great beach bars dotted on the river banks open during the warmer months. They are a great place to park up for the day and enjoy some sun and polish vodka.
One of the most popular beach bars in Wroclaw is Forma Płynna Beach Bar. Another great spot is ZaZoo Beach Bar. A quiet spot is Odra-Pany, located next to Wroclaw zoo.
Get the blood rushing with some adrenaline activities
Wroclaw offers a variety of adrenaline-fueled activities that will have you and your group buzzing with excitement. Some of the most popular activities in the city include shooting, go-karting, paintballing, and quad-biking, all of which are guaranteed to get your heart racing.

The venue was City Paintball. It has 6 different paintball fields, each with a different theme and games that can be played. Some with trenches, such as the Vietnam field, and think trees and bush on the Jungle field. I highly recommend them.

GameState Game Arcade is an excellent choice for a stag party day activity due to its fun and interactive nature. The arcade has a variety of games that cater to different tastes and interests, such as classic arcade games, virtual reality experiences, and even escape rooms.
It’s a great way to bring you back to your childhood while also having a bit of friendly rivalry with your mates.
Furthermore, the arcade is located in the heart of Wroclaw, making it easily accessible and a great addition to a day of exploring the city.
Clear the hangover at the Aqua Park
After a big night of drinking, it can feel like all you want to do is jump in a nice warm pool to clear off the hangover. Luckily Wroclaw has just the spot for this.
The Wroclaw Aqua Park has an adults-only section with many different saunas, cold and hot pools and a bar and restaurant, the perfect place to clear the hangover. But here’s your warning; clothes are optional here, so get ready to see some saggy titties and older men’s privates.
Alternative street art tour
Explore beyond Wroclaw’s main attractions like the Market Square, Cathedral Island, and Centennial Hall. The Nadodrze District is a must-visit, where renowned directors like Steven Spielberg filmed war movies and street artists from around the world created their works.

Get lucky at the Casino
If you are anything like the group of lads that joined the stag do I booked, there are a few degenerates amongst you that wouldn’t mind slapping a few notes down on that sweet red and green velvet.
A few things to note. Casinos in Poland are smaller and less exciting than in other European cities. Still, they have everything you’ll want in a casino. There are two casinos in Wroclaw worth checking out: Crystal Casion in the Old Town and Casinos Poland Wroclaw, located just outside the Old Town.
Additionally, you can’t wear hats inside, and when you arrive, you have to give them your ID and sign up to access each Casino.

Go VIP at Grey Club
Grey Club is the place of choice for a VIP night out. It is in the centre of the Old Town, has two dance floors and is always full of beautiful locals. It is one of the premier clubs in Wroclaw.
Most clubs in Wroclaw will only accept small groups of guys, but if you make a reservation, they will allow it. To make the reservation, you have to spend a certain amount on the bar. When we went, it was 500 PLN / 95 GBP, which is about the price of 2 bottles of vodka and mixers.

This game is by far the best and cheapest way to add some extra fun to the weekend while also embarrassing the stag. We have added a blank template below that you can use and change for your stag weekend, but here is what you’ll need to do
- Get 4-5 embarrassing photos of the stag
- Give each member of the stag party a nickname
- Think of 5 rules for the weekend (or use the ones we did)
- Print out the bingo card on an A4 page and fold it up into a book for each person

The only rule is when you are walking around the city, and you see a gnome statue, if one person yells out ‘I see a little gnome”, everyone in the group has to run to it, including the person the yelled out and the last one to touch it has to buy a round of drinks at the closest bar. There are over 300 gnome statues around Wroclaw, so this one can be dangerous.

Wroclaw is a city that caters to all kinds of travellers, including those on a tight budget. Hostels are an excellent choice for stag groups looking to save money on accommodation.
We stayed at Chilli Hostel, in an 8-bed dorm. It was clean and within walking distance of all the main attractions. The staff were friendly, and as you can see below, the beds were so comfortable the lads didn’t even take off their clothes before falling asleep. One hostel to avoid is Amnezja Hostel, as I have stayed there previously, and it’s best to avoid it at all costs.
There are many other great hostels situated throughout the city that offer dormitory-style rooms that can accommodate multiple guests. They usually have shared bathrooms and common areas such as lounges, kitchens, and bars where you can meet other travellers.
If you want more privacy but still looking to save some money, some excellent accommodation is Wroclaw Inn Apartments.
On the other hand, if you’re looking for a bit more luxury and comfort, Wroclaw also has plenty of upscale accommodations to choose from. You’ll find many hotels and apartments that offer all the amenities you could want for a more comfortable stay. Some of the best upscale stag party accommodations in Wroclaw are Sky Tower Apartments or Scandic Wroclaw.

Wroclaw or Krakow stag do?
Both cities are great for a stag do and have many great options for drinking and eating. However, Wroclaw is still a relatively new place for brits to host a stag do, so it’s not overrun by drunk stag parties like Krakow. The locals are friendly and accommodating to stag parties if you’re reasonably well-behaved.
Scams to watch out for
Wroclaw is a safe city, but as with any city, there are always scams to watch out for in Wroclaw. Here are some common scams you should be aware of:
- Street Girls – if a girl comes up to you and says she lost and needs help finding her friends or a bar. There’s a 99% chance she works for a local bar and will take you there, and you’ll get overcharged.
- Flower scam – if a child on the street offers you a flower and says they are selling it for his sick sibling, you can ignore it as it’s a lie.
- Strip clubs – avoid them at all costs as they will scam you. If you have to go, let us know, and we can book you a booth at one, as you will get ripped off less.
- Ordering Drinks – ask for the price before ordering, or you will always get the premium option.
- Drinking on the street – it’s illegal all over Wroclaw except on Słodka island.
- Drugs – drugs in Wroclaw are known to be low quality and toxic. If you really need to get fucked up, try some Spiruts. It’s 95% alcohol and is illegal in most countries.
- Taxi – always use uber or ride-sharing apps as a random taxi on the street will charge you any price they want.
